GHATSEA, then known as Aeronautical Telecommunications Technicians Association (ATTA), was founded in 1976 and its members were engineers and technicians of the Aeronautical Telecommunication Section of Department of Civil Aviation in Ghana, now Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

Who we are

The Electronic Section of the Engineering department in GCAA is responsible for handling all technical issues on equipments used for the provision of Air Navigation Services as well as for Airport Security and passenger facilitation at the Kotoka International Airport and the Regional Airports. This section also handles other Air Navigation facilities installed by GCAA within the Accra Flight Information Region (FIR) covering the Upper airspaces of Ghana, Benin and Togo and other oceanic sectors up to Latitude 91/2° south.
